It's Campaign Time (Wed/Thurs)

Today we took the first part of class to work on our Top 10 Lists - everyone is doing a GREAT job getting an understanding of this important topic. Keep it up Team Three!!!!

We also began to examine the the presidential candidates more closely, looking at the platforms of each on a variety of topics. The kids then were broken up into two sides of the room and assigned a candidate. It is important to understand that they do not have to actually support this candidate, but they do need to try to understand his viewpoints. Students are then creating campaign posters that describe who they each are and what their beliefs are for others to learn from. We will be presenting these posters on Friday, as well as talking about campaigns and ads as a whole. Kids will be taking notes on each candidate on the charts given to them in class.
