Physical Geography of Sub Saharan Africa

We will begin learning about Sub Saharan Africa by talking about the physical geography. The first assignment for the class is to complete a map and information book activity. One side of the assignment has basic questions about Sub Saharan Africa and it is the students job to find the answers using pages 470-473 in the book. The other side is a blank map. Students are to fill in as many countries as possible and outline each region using the maps on:
  1. West Africa= 484
  2. Central Africa=504
  3. East Africa=520
  4. Southern Africa=544
Once students finish this activity their next task is to write a half page journal entry talking about two things. First which climate zone they would want to visit and why. Second which geographic feature students would most like to see, where it is, and what it looks like.
