Today we looked at the film "Separation of Powers" - looking at how the government is broken into three branches, each having their own responsibilities. In Canada however, there is not the same level of separation since the Prime Minister is also a member of Parliament. The question we talked about then was whether or not the students would want to live in a nation where President Elect Obama was a President (with Sep. of Powers) or a Prime Minister (without a Sep. of Powers). Would that help him fix the economy? Due today is the organizer that asks the question "Can Obama Fix the Economy?"
