Today we took a "pop quiz" that students could use any and all of their classroom work with (Physical Geography of U.S./Canada, Data Graphs, Economics and People of Both Nations, etc...) All of this work has been done in class so students should have no problem with the questions. This is a way for me to check how students are doing with classwork and ensure that they are keeping up and making use of their time. If your child did not do well it is probably because they are not using class time wisely to get their research done.
This is also the information we're going to be using for our U.S. Canada Comparison Papers that we'll be working on next week. The due date for these papers will be Tuesday, Dec. 23rd. We'll be typing in class next Friday (Dec. 19th) and the following Monday (Dec. 22nd) using the Google Docs program. This way we can turn them in online and make corrections much easier. Your child's user name for Google Docs is their full name, first and last, as one word (ex. billjones). Their password is their lunch account ID, but with enough zeros at the front to make 8 digits (ex. 00984382).
