Today and tomorrow you'll be starting to look at just some of the social issues facing Sub-Saharan Africa in recent years. To begin with you'll be watching a film titled "Africa Today". While watching the film, you will have an organizer to fill out - take short notes about what you saw in the film.
The second part of class you'll be looking and analyzing data related to Africa. Students will be given a table with a lot of data - you are to take that data and create a graph (bar graph) for 5 nations. There will be an example in class. From that graph you need to rank in order the nations and why you put them in that order.
